9/10/12 Work From Home Job Opportunity: Textbroker.com (Freelance Writing)

When it comes to Online Freelance Writing, you've got to start somewhere. If you want to work from home and be a freelance writer, you can! It just takes time, commitment and persistence in order to succeed. The following information is about one Freelance writing and content generation website that I have written for, Textbroker.com.  One of my payments from Textbroker was over $150, which translated to around $19 per hour when I did the calculations.  But enough about me, this post is about you and how you can work from home writing on Textbroker. Read about it after the jump.

Textbroker.com
Textbroker was actually one of the first content writing companies I applied for when I first started to look for work from home job opportunities. I applied and actually forgot about it until I heard back from them. I received an initial rating of 4 stars out of 5 but it took me a while to actually go onto the website. I took the proofreading test but just missed the cutoff so I think that is why I took a while to warm up to the idea of writing for them, but once I did I was happy I decided to.

Can You Make Money on Textbroker?
In short, yes. Textbroker can definitely put a couple bucks in your pocket. As a 4 Star writer on Textbroker, I can make a decent amount on articles. The prices are still pretty low compared to what some call the industry standard, but with all the outsourcing of content that goes on these days the rates aren't that bad. I'm not going to name names, but some content sites want to pay writers $1 for an article and that is just ridiculous. Only a robot or someone living in a country with a much lower cost of living than we have in the US could afford that.

What Type of Content Can You Write on Textbroker?
There are so many different categories that you're bound to find something that is right up your alley. If you are a 4 Star writer you can write articles for 1, 2, 3 or 4 Star projects so as you can imagine, the higher your ranking the more articles there are available for you to write. Here are some of the many niches I have written articles for on Textbroker: Fashion, Business, Internet, Travel, Law, Marketing, Beauty, Real Estate and Shopping. One really cool project I did involved writing a lot of short product descriptions for an online retail store. Another project required me to review a website. There are lots of neat assignments on textbroker to help you flex your muscle as a writer.

The Bottom Line
If you are a decent writer and have a couple hours per week to devote to Textbroker you can make a couple hundred dollars to tack on to your current income. Not a bad deal if you actually enjoy writing!  So all you would-be work from home freelance writing hopefuls out there, give Textbroker a shot. At the very least you can gain some writing experience and make some money while you search for something more permanent.  Here's to your success!
